earnest - Best Investments for 2011 | Binary | Options Trading ...

The best investments for 2011 so far have been made by those sleuths who have been shorting fraudulent Chinese holding company stocks. If shorting isn?t your thing tho, commodities have been pretty good ? in spite of the recent down turn.

What investors want to know is what is going to be big over the rest of the year. Odds are the best investments for 2011 will continue to be overseas. The other area shorts might be looking at is commercial real estate and CRE bonds ? and of course more fraudulent Chinese holding companies.

Bear in mind of course that these musings are my own only and do not stand as any sort of trade recommendation or guidance. These are my own thoughts based on what I?ve observed and read through the first 5 months of 2011.

What?s on Tap for the Second Half Investments 2011

One good idea I had heard the other day was the desire of a prominent Asian economy to de-peg from the US dollar. The US has been exporting inflation to the rest of the world since the Lehman collapse in 2008 and the burr under the saddle appears to finally be too much to bear for Hong Kong. We?ll have to see if anything comes of that however as markets are always in motion and it?s not like the Hong Kong economy can be broken on the back of current US dollar inflation the way the rest of Southeast Asia was back in the late 90s by the Ruble collapse.

Commercial Real Estate Death Spiral

Commercial real estate continues to get pounded with store closings and mall vacancies. A lot of people have been expecting the CRE market to fall apart sooner rather than later but it oddly enough has (up until now) had an extended lifeline due to the destruction of the housing market. So many people had stopped paying on mortgages (and were not paying rent elsewhere) that they had a considerable amount of disposable income to spend on (guess what?) ? consumer goods at malls and shopping centers. Now that that source of revenue has begun to dry up mall businesses have begun packing up at a quickening pace.

Obviously this does not bode well for debt laden US commercial real estate ventures and their debt and equity holders. Slow-downs in commercial real estate means fewer jobs in retail, commercial construction, and finance. This can only add to the pain already felt in real-estate, manufacturing, and residential construction.

All Eyes on Obama for Jobs Solutions

The late Congress of the Bush administration tried hand outs to the big banks and automakers in order to preserve jobs in the economy however more people receive some form of government assistance today than any other time in recent history. It would seem the efforts to save the banking industry may have worked in the near term but the economy is now crushed by un-funded and unfundable liabilities, and not enough working tax-payers to grow our way out of debt. If Obama is to have any chance at re-election in 2011 he will need to find ways to get people earning a living and paying taxes quickly.

Conclusion:
It appears to me that the best investments for 2011 yields-wise remain outside the US (even given the inevitable volatility of foreign currency markets), and heaven forbid you have to invest inside the US any bets would almost certainly have to be on the down-turn side.

UFC 130 Live Blog: Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story Round-by-Round Updates

Thiago Alves faces Rick Story at UFC 130.LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 130 live blog for Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story, a welterweight bout on tonight's pay-per-view at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Alves (18-7, 10-4 UFC) returned to the win column at UFC 124 in December with a dominant unanimous decision win over John Howard. That victory snapped a two-fight skid with a welterweight title fight loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 100 and a unanimous decision loss to Jon Fitch at UFC 117 ? a fight for which Alves failed to make weight for the third time in his UFC career. Working with famed fighter nutritionist Mike Dolce for this fight, Alves weighed in at 170 on the button. Story (12-3, 5-1 UFC) has won five straight fights, including a unanimous decision win over Johny Hendricks in December.

The live blog is below.

Round 1: This has some great potential. Five-fight streak for Story coming into this one. He throws a 1-2 early. Story shoots and gets a takedown against the fence. Alves works his way back up and eats a couple knees as Story tries to keep him against the fence. Story keeps him tied up and continues with knees to Alves' thighs. He regroups, but Alves this time lands a takedown. They bounce up quickly and reset. Left from Story, and then a body shot that grazes. They clinch on the cage as Kim Winslow and her long ponytail look on. After a minute-long stretch, Winslow separates them. Again they clinch, and Story keeps working knees to Alves' legs. They split, and Story throws a big flurry of punches that Alves has to eat. Alves throws a kick in response. After they break, they trade haymakers and kicks and knees, and the crowd responds. MMA Fighting scores the first round 10-9 for Story.

Round 2: Alves opens with a kick, then a combo that just misses. Story throws a kick to the head that Alves blocks, then works for a short takedown and wraps Alves up in a bearhug when he pops back up. They break apart a minute in, and when Alves fires a leg kick, Story shoots and eventually lands another takedown. Alves easily works his way back up, and again they clinch on the fence ? until Alves bullies Story to the ground. Story fights his way back to the feet, and again they clinch up. They break apart for all of two seconds before Story moves back in to work for another takedown on the fence. Winslow breaks them at 1:20 with little happening. Alves throws a left kick that Story uses to send him off balance. Alves lands on his keister, but bounces right back up ... where Story again ties him up and muscles for a short takedown. The crowd boos this continued gameplan from the 2-to-1 underdog, but it seems to be working for him. Alves fires off a couple kicks as the round draws to a close, but they're of little consequence. MMA Fighting gives Round 2 to Story, 10-9.

Round 3: Alves has likely been told he's down a couple rounds, so comes out slinging. Against the fence, he lands a nice right knee to Story's chin. But Story doesn't dro, though the sweat flies. Story again sets up a shot with a combo, but can't get the fight to the mat this time. After some more combos, Story again moves in to clinch, holds Alves on the fence and tries to muscle him down. But Alves avoids it this time and they break apart. Nice shot from Alves, and he just misses on an uppercut. Story grabs a leg for a single, but it's not there. Some nice shots from both fighters, but nothing to give either of them an edge to capitalize on. With a minute left, Story again tries for a takedown on the wall, and when they break with 30 seconds left alves throws a high kick going for the late knockout in desperation. They slug it out for the last few seconds, but neither can end it. Alves did some good work, and we'll give him the third 10-9, but the fight to Story 29-28.

Result: Rick Story def. Thiago Alves, unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Between Egypt And Gaza, A Renewed Connection

Hundreds of Palestinians crossed the newly opened border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip Saturday. NPR's Soraya Nelson reports that the move by the Egyptian government was met with restraint by Israel but joy by those who have been locked out by travel restrictions.

LIANE HANSEN, host:

This is WEEKEND EDITION from NPR News. I'm Liane Hansen.

Egypt reopened its border with Gaza Strip yesterday, continuing what to many signals a clear shift in policy with Israel. By easing the travel restrictions on people who live in the Palestinian territory, the largest Arab country effectively ended a four-year blockade there and deepened its rift with Israel.

The move follows the agreement reached earlier this month between Palestinian militant rivals Hamas and Fatah. NPR's Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson was on the Egyptian side of the border and has this report.

(Soundbite of crowd talking)

SORAYA SARHADDI NELSON: Only a few hundred Palestinians crossed the border in Rafah on the first day it reopened. Many, like Musbah Mohamed Halawin, were infirm. The 55-year-old in a wheelchair was headed to Egypt for spinal surgery.

Mr. MUSBAH MOHAMED HALAWIN: (foreign language spoken)

SARHADDI NELSON: He says he is thrilled at what he described as a new Islamic Arab border open to everyone. He also praised the Egyptian uprising that ousted Hosni Mubarak. He says that's what made the reopening possible.

Fellow traveler Hasna el Rais says the Egyptian move returned a feeling of dignity to Palestinians.

Ms. HASNA EL RAIS: We have the higher spirit now because this is an example of freedom and end of every suffering in the last five years. We suffered too much.

SARHADDI NELSON: Israel and Egypt under Mubarak closed the crossing in 2007. That and a naval blockade were meant to weaken the Islamist militant group Hamas after it seized control of the Gaza Strip. But the moved caused all Gazans to suffer as their economy ground to a halt. Few Palestinians were allowed to cross the border when it did open for short periods.

Israel's response to the reopening was muted, although some officials feared militants and weapons would now flow more freely into the Gaza Strip.

On the Gaza side, Ghazi Hamad, who heads the Border Crossing Authority, waved aside such claims.

Mr. GHAZI HAMAD (Border Crossing Authority): I think everything is working normally here. There's no smuggling, no criminals, no violation of law. So, I think they should not be worried about this.

(Soundbite of people talking)

SARHADDI NELSON: Many travelers were pleased with their trip across the border. They described the process as easier than the past. But one Mubarak-era legacy remains for Palestinian men between the ages of 18 and 40 - they have to be vetted by Egyptian authorities before being allowed to pass.

Confessions of a Cheating Man by RAW

Published June 1st 2008 by Baby Daddy Publishing

Source: Purchased this autographed book from RAW
Oosa Book Club 13 week challenge, book 7 of 13

About The Book:

The most talked about, the most anticipated biography to hit the streets!!! The story of a man who lost his wife and destroyed his family, due to his infidelity. The story of a man who thought the grass was greener on the other side... The story of a man who realized his sickness, when it was too late!!!

MEET THE CHEATOLOGIST

The Cheatologist is one who studies and identifies with the underlining causes and effect of lies, betrayal and cheating in relationships...and seeks to find solutions within the issues that propels one to cheat.?

The Cheatologist has been studying and researching the cheating epidemic that has plagued our community for years now, and honestly seeks to give advice on how to combat the evil results of its effect.?

HOW IT BEGAN...

It was so hard for me, at one point, to stop a behavior that I kept indulging in recklessly. I always wondered why I kept running the streets looking for what I already had at home. But the intensity in my arousal, along with my weak resistance to flesh, kept encouraging me to make irrational choices. The ill choices I made became a bigger problem for me...they became an addiction that kept me, insanely, attached to activities beyond my marriage.

I was once so loving and kind to my wife. However, my attitude became brutally disrespectful when she continued to question my misplaced loyalties. And, despite the increasing negative impact that my actions had on my family, I continued to engage in persistent and escalating patterns of sexual behavior that had me taking money from home and spending it on women in the street. I wondered, till this day, in the presence of shame, fear and exploitation, why did my wife still love me and why did she endure this humiliation for so long? But I realized that shouldn't be the question; it should be why do we hurt our wives like this and expect them to stay?

This is my story, my drama, my confessions.

My Review:

First of all, I have to give a lot of credit to RAW for writing this book. ?Yes, cheating on a spouse is wrong, but RAW is telling us his story. ?He is showing how he cheated on his wife and what resulted from his cheating. ?He is not glorifying his cheating. ?He is showing us that he had a problem and that if you cheat on your spouse, there is no turning back.

In the book you will see that RAW thought that as long as he took care of things at home, it was okay to go out and have a little fun on the side. ? He thought this because his wife never questioned what he was doing. ?He did think about what he was doing and knew it was wrong, but he could not get himself to stop. You will also be able to read a letter from his wife to him expressing her feelings. ?One little mistake, something he forgot, would change everything. ?He had an addiction though that he just couldn't get over.

About 2 a.m., I jumped up and made love to my wife till about 5:30 a.m. ? She told me how much she loved me. ?She actually cried and said "you don't know how much I love you." ?The truth is, I did know how much she loved me. ?But I couldn't stop this desire to want to lay my head on a new pillow; this desire to hear someone else tell me how good my sex was. This was my get high...thinking about De'osha, my next victim. ?And the serial cheater is about to strike again. (p108)

RAW really writes from his heart on a very relevant issue--cheating. ?He also states in the book how after a while, his wife stopped complimenting him and stopped showing how much she loved him, he looked for love from other women. ?I think husbands and wives have gotten too caught up in what is going on in their lives, and we forget sometimes to just slow down and make it a point to put some time into keeping our marriage alive. ?It becomes habit sometimes to just do the same things that we are used to and not make time for things like dates with our spouse or showing them how much we really do love them. ?Sometimes we need to go out of our comfort zone and do what we need to in order to keep that spark alive, even if that means we have to figure how to spend more time together or even schedule a date.

I recommend Confessions of a Cheating Man by RAW. ?He gives you a real look into what happened to his marriage after he cheated on his wife so many times. ?Go to his website?thecheatologist.com?and listen to the music that plays. ?That?music that he has playing really makes me sad for him and what happened to his life. ?He also sent me the "Fake Ricky Rozay at it again" You Tube video as well as an interview that he did (not the one I posted here). ?He regrets what he did and has changed to become a better person.

--------------------------

He also sent me Our Love Is Not What It Used To Be "Something From Our Past Won't Let Us Last." by Raw "The Cheatologist"??and You Deserve a Better Man "Can a cheating man still be a good man?" ?

RAW writes ?to his wife about his thoughts. Failure to communicate is a big issue that can really put a strain on a marriage. ?He writes to his wife about how he had to beg for her attention. ?If she would have just given him some attention, he may not have felt the desire to seek out pleasure in other women. ?

"The truth is, you had more of an expectation of the man that you wanted me to be but you lost out on not accepting me for the man I was." p.27
He wanted sex and his wife just blew him off. ?Marriage works both ways, ?you can't expect to stay close and have a great marriage if one person is not willing to give in a little. ?

Again, I am not saying cheating is the best way to deal with this, but RAW is human and has needs. ?He went out and got them met by whoever would fulfill them. ?He wanted it to be his wife, but it just didn't happen how he had hoped.?

I am looking forward to reading more books by RAW!

My rating

5/5 diamonds

Highly Recommend!

Pay Per Click Advertising For Advertisers | Online Business And ...

Online advertising is a form of marketing online. Use it to promote your website and increase sales and traffic levels. Using online advertising has a great advantage over other types of advertising ? such as newspapers, magazines because it can be displayed worldwide and reach more target audiences, because it tends to either content related or contextual.

Pay per click advertising, also known as ppc is one of the most used methods. This is because it is cost effective, and advertisers only have to pay each time they get a visitor their website. I?ll give you an example. If I wanted to drive traffic to my website and increase my sales, I would sign up with an advertising agency that supplies PPC advertising. I would set up an account and then start up a campaign, which is either a text or a banner ad. When creating a text ad, I would set a title, a short description and a title URL. I then point it to my website or selling page. This advert will be displayed on the agency?s publisher network and partner websites. I can decide how much I want to spend on a campaign per day/week or month and set the amount I want to spend on the keywords I choose.

When the advert gets displayed on publisher websites and partner websites, anyone who clicks on the ad will arrive at my site and I pay a small amount ? the amount I set the keywords on for the ad. I only have to pay when someone clicks on the ad.

When you set your keyword bid the highest bid will be displayed for that keyword. So that?s a quick explanation on how pay per click advertising works.

This method of advertising is he most popular because it is cost effective; it is definitely more cost effective than buying advertising space, because you cannot guarantee that you will get visitors to your site. You might pay $100 dollars for some advertising space, but visitors might not even click on your ad. When you use ppc advertising, your ad will be displayed worldwide, on many many websites, for free! You can basically only pay when someone actually clicks on your advertisement.

There are many agencies that provide ppc advertising solutions. Pay per click has been around since 1998, created by Jeffrey Brewer of GoTo.com. Google then started the first PPC search engine and implemented their won model into their search engine in 1999, and then in 2000 started their ppc advertising network.

Flat rate advertising is where the publisher/agency sets a specific amount that will be paid for each click- it cannot be changed and it is only available at that amount. Some agencies do this, however it does not give advertisers much freedom of choice to decide how much they want to set for each click or keyword. Bid based advertising is where the advertiser bids for the ad space. The highest bid gets the space. This is more popular on ppc search engines. You can set how much you are willing to pay for the spot. Again this is usually run by an agency.
