Guns, money, red Ford F-250 stolen in home invasion

One man received minor injuries Friday night after two men invaded a couple's home and robbed them, according to the Rock County Sheriff?s Department.

On Friday at 10:54 p.m., Rock County deputies, along with police, fire and EMS personnel from Edgerton, were dispatched to a report of a home invasion and armed robbery on West Miles Road in Fulton Township.

Police said a man and his wife were home when two men wearing dark-colored ski masks entered the house through an unlocked door, held both homeowners hostage at gunpoint and demanded access to a safe.

According to the report, the men were described as slim-built white men in their late teens or early 20s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The sheriff's department said the robbers took several long guns, handguns and some ammunition, along with an undetermined amount of cash, and fled the scene in a red 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup (Wisconsin Dual Purpose Farm plate GL7661), which also belonged to the couple.

One victim, the man, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Janesville where he was treated and released for minor cuts and a bloody nose. The woman was not injured during the incident, which police said remains under investigation.

Police said both robbers are still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Citizens are strongly encouraged to contact the Rock County Communications Center at 608-757-2244 with information about the men.
