Meet the Team:?
Roxana Alvarez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. She earned her master?s degree in Social Work from Barry University and received her bachelor?s degree in psychology from the University of South Florida. She has experience with children and adolescents in the hospital setting as well as outpatient counseling. She has been involved in support groups in the past for children with Lupus and also Diabetes. She specializes with children with chronic medical illness as well as depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders. She provides clinical intervention and support to children and their parents during hospitalization.
Vanessa Ayala is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. Ms. Ayala earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and her master?s degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Her role as a mental health therapist at Arnold Palmer is divided between the inpatient Pediatric Acute Units and the Feeding Difficulty Clinic. Ms. Ayala brings over fifteen years of experience in hospital settings, as well as in community mental health, and the correctional sector; working with a wide array of populations including children/adolescents and adults, psychiatric patients, battered women, incarcerated juveniles and women, substance dependent/abusers, as well as cancer patients.
Andrea Baker?is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. She earned her master?s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Troy State University and a bachelor?s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida. She provides supportive counseling to families of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Paige Blinderman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. Paige earned both her master?s and bachelor?s degrees in social work from the University of Central Florida. Her professional experience includes providing counseling and therapy services to adolescents, adults and families and assisting with the design and development of managed care initiatives in the State of Florida. Paige divides her time between providing supportive counseling services to families within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and providing consultation services to Medicaid and State-funded behavioral health organizations, focusing on quality improvement and program development initiatives.
Heather Brookins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. She earned a bachelor?s degree in psychology and family and child sciences from Florida State University, then went on to receive a master?s degree in Social Work from the same school. She has been working in the field of social work with children and families since 2006, providing individual, family, and crisis counseling. She has been with Orlando Health since 2010.

During the past six years, she has worked as a Mental Health Therapist in the NICU and PICU. Frances brings over fourteen years of clinical experience working with a wide variety of populations. She has experience working in the community conducting mental health evaluations for children and adults living with mental health issues in Central Florida. Frances is a member of the National Association of Perinatal Social Workers.
Lilibet Colon is a Mental Health Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Social Work at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. Ms. Colon is the supervisor of the pediatric clinicians. She earned her bachelor?s degree from The City University of New York at City College and her Masters of Social Work degree from New York University in New York in 1979. She is Board Certified in Clinical Social Work and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Ms. Colon is a member of the National Association of Social Work and a member of the Florida Chapter Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare. Ms. Colon has a broad knowledge base including oncology, acute services, trauma, bereavement, and mental health issues.
In 2006, Ms. Colon was awarded the Healthcare Social Worker of the Year in the State of Florida by the Florida Chapter of the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare. In 2012, Ms. Colon was recognized by the Latino American Who?s Who.

Rachelle Flamio is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. Joan is very involved with ethical dilemmas, palliative care and the emotional stresses of patient and families who deal with these issues in the hospital setting. Joan has been a speaker on the national level on the issues and concerns these families face. Joan is on the board of the National Association of Perinatal Social Workers and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. The Society for Social Work Leaders in Healthcare of which she is a member, in the past named her The Healthcare Social Worker of the Year.
Lisa Heilman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Arnold Palmer Medical Center, with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. She earned a bachelor?s degree in psychology from Youngstown State University and a master?s in clinical social work. Lisa has over 12 years of experience providing social services for adults, children and families in the community. She has experienced working and helping children and adults recover from traumatic brain injuries and those diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses. She also has experience in providing mental health counseling services individually in the home and outpatient. She also has a broad knowledge in the areas of bereavement, abuse, and teen pregnancy related issues. She currently provides patient and family counseling services for patients and their families in Arnold Palmer?s Children?s Emergency Department.

She has spent the last five years providing counseling to patients and families on the hematology/oncology unit and in the outpatient clinic. John P Kelly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Arnold Palmer Medical Center with the Patient and Family Counseling Department. He has over twenty years? experience delivering services to children, adolescents and their families.
