This has got to hurt more than getting a new tattoo. TLC announced Thursday that it's canceling Kat Von D's reality show, "LA Ink."
"TLC has decided that the current season of 'LA Ink' will be its last," TLC said in a statement to TODAY.com. "The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles. The series finale will air?Sept. 15 at 10?p.m."
The latest season?kicked off with the tattoo artist revealing her new ink -- then-fiance Jesse James' fifth-grade photo. The couple split up just days before the episode aired. As the season progressed, the program continued to follow Kat as she prepared for her wedding.
"LA Ink" is the second show to get the axe from TLC this week. On Monday, the network announced that it was not renewing "Kate Plus 8," and that the final episode would air Sept. 12.
Though TV will be down one show featuring tattoos, Spike is filling the gap with a new show called "InkMaster," featuring Red Hot Chili Pepper Dave Navarro as the host, according to The Wrap. The eight-episode series, which debuts in January, will have the rocker judging tattoo artists' creations.
Will you miss watching Kat on "LA Ink"? Or will Navarro's show be of more interest to you??Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
