As our company began its initiative to move our home based organization to an overseas market there were certain area we were concerned with addressing before we up and left. Most importantly we were concerned about our team building Scotland capabilities and how we would go about developing such. We decided to some team building by having our home based employees do some training and assignments online with the Scotland based employees of our overseas company. Each employee effectively listed ways (in their own words and examples) of how any assumptions about the home based employees and the Scotland based were to be eliminated because for one that is discrimination as well as disrespectful to our business practices. We decided to have them do an activity in which posed a question and they had to think from each other?s point of view. The knowledge of thinking from another?s perspective creates understanding outside of our view points and is always a good way to learn and gain personal growth.
